What can I say. These are some awesome knuckle tattoos, courtesy of Dave Temby:

My name is bleach, I am a tattoo artist at saint sabrinas in minneapolis. I am borderlined obsessive compulsive, so a friend and coworker of mine thought this would be a good idea for my knuckles. I thought it would be a good idea to mess the letters up and not have them perfectly straight. So here’s what we came up with.

  • Various knuckle tattoos from this past week.

    Hello all,

In my wanderings around Austin this week (or so) I picked up a few pictures of people’s knuckle tattoos. Check them out:

  • GANGSTER

    gangster

Elizabeth sends us these knuckle tattoos, showing just how hard core she is, sorta:

I was watching SNATCH one day and said to myself how I loved the british gangsters in that movie…then it hit me that it would look good on my knuckles. Simple story. It is such a popular term in pop culture, but I really didn’t mean it like “oh I’m gangsta”…it was really about actual dim witted gangsters that can’t do anything right. Similar to myself…lol

  • DEVOTION

    devotion

Allen Carlson sends use these knuckle tattoos:

i got them after i moved out and realized alot about who my friends are and how much my family means to be..
and you really have to be devoted to what you love and do and who your friend and family are and my religious beliefs had a part to do it with..
plus i wanted to get something different that i had never seen someone with before

  • HAUS WIFE

    haus_wife

I found these knuckles on LiveJournal a ways back and contacted the photographer Mikey Krzyzanowski of Drop Dead Photos. The model’s name is Deb De Vine and this is her story:

Getting my knuckles tattooed was one of the most exciting thing i’ve had done, the reason why i chose to have them done was the fact for plain old shock value, no one would expect someone who  dresses proper, and dose not look “the part” to have such a place inked. As for the phrase ‘Haus Wife’ my husband is a german teacher, hence the spelling, and i always have pictured myself as the perfect wife to come home to

so i know its hokey but its me.

  • LOST

    lost

These knuckles come via Celina Homer:

Through out my life, i’ve always known who i was, but have always felt like i didn’t belong anywhere, So i got the word “LOST” on my right knuckles. and i have NO sense of direction and it has gotten me into a lot of trouble.

  • STAY CALM

These knuckles come all the way from Natalia in Costa Rica. I don’t know what she is saying, but I’m pretty sure it is awesome:

my name is natalia, from costa rica! 😉 y me tatué stay calm, porque soy impaciente, estresada y me altero por todo, aun teniendolo tatuado, i just cant stay calm 😉 pero voy progresando hahahaha….
oh and a diamond. made my alejandro cole, at stattoos tattoo, san pedro, costa rica ♥

UPDATE: Since several people ponited me towards google translate, I’ve gone ahead and added the rough English translation:

my name is natalia, from Costa Rica! 😉 Tatu and I stay calm, because I am anxious, stressed and altered by me throughout, even keeping a tattoo, i just cannot stay calm😉 hahahaha … but I make progress.
oh and a diamond. made by alejandro cole, at stattoos tattoo, San Pedro, Costa Rica ♥
