My name is Antonia Ciminera. I’m 23 years old from Los Angeles, California. My knuckles say ” Seja Você ” which is Portuguese for “Be You” . I got this tattoo because I used to worry a lot about what others would think of me or how they would judge me and I came to realize that no matter what I will always just be me and I’m okay with that not being accepted by everyone, and I encourage other people to be who they are.
Jeanine sends us her knuckle tattoos:
I got these done almost 4 years ago by Zack Woods at The Missing Piece in Spokane, WA. The “o” is a fish bowl and the “F” is a fishing hook. This tattoo has a lot of meanings for me. For the most part it is a comic book referance and this is what I tell people. Whenever I think of Lenore the cute little dead girl saying “fishies go pook pook pook” I think of goldfish. But I am also a fish out of water. This has more than one meaning for me. I have always been an oddball and as a female with tons of tattoo work I get a ton of odd looks. I also love to swim. I am an Aquarius… so it all just fits me perfectly. Not to mention I love the goldfish snack food crackers. White cheddar for the win baby. ~ J
“Chadillac” works here in Austin at Murpho’s Rods and Customs as a mechanic. He says that his hands are the tools of his trade.
My name is Lindey! I’m from Massachusetts; I got LOVE MORE on my knuckles as a representation that I truly believe people need to love more. I grew up being a very loving child and I’ve always had a big heart. I’ve been thinking about this tattoo for a few years, and the placement felt perfect to me. I think if society really showed love to the people they really care about it would make a big difference in their lives and the person(s) they love! I’ve seen a lot of love and a lot of heart break and I have it burned into my brain that people will get by easier and live life better if they just love more. No matter who you are, love is the greatest feeling to be felt. I got this done from DOUG as Eternal Images in Milford, MA
Leesa G. sends us these lovely … knuckles and her story:
My knuckles were done by Joe Reno at Shogun Tattoo in Pasadena, CA.
There were a few reason’s I chose “Cat’s Meow”:
1. My husband’s knuckles say “Real Gone” so I wanted a phrase that was also kind of beatnick slang.
2. I work with animals for a living.
3. I wanted something that was really positive and upbeat. I believe we can draw either negative or positive experiences and energies to us, and I prefer to give and get positive energy.
I’m the lead singer for a SoCal punk band called The Creamers. The band likes my tattoo and the uhm, “boob pic” so much that we’re calling our 2012 release “Cat’s Meow” and putting this pic on the cover.
