BOOK WORM

Filed under: 4x4, Knuckle Tattoos, Lady Fingers — Nathan Black @ 12:33 pm

Tricia loves to read, her knuckles tell me so:

When I was kid I actually got in trouble for reading too much.  One time when my mother grounded me, instead of taking away my toys, she took my books.  To this day, I’m rarely without some form of reading material on my person.  I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate to have emblazoned across my knuckles for the whole world to see.  I love the irony of something so badass being so incredibly nerdy.  They still need to be touched up but the sketchy typewriter print is my homage to all the hard work that had to be put in to manually type a manuscript in the past.

Jake H. sends us these knuckle tattoos:

I just made a move to Chicago, I’m super pumped and am loving every second of it. So I went to Eric Janovsky at Tatu Tattoo on North Avenue and got my knuckles done to celebrate a new step in my life.

LOVE DON’T LIVE HERE

Rubie Irene sends us these lovely knuckles:

I got these done a few days ago (8/30/2010). I have numerous tattoos but none have really been as meaningful as these ones. I am jaded and cynical and unwelcoming. It’s all been a process. I am not saying I will never love again, but for now, it doesn’t live in my heart. I want to forget the bad things. Welcome the new. Sullen I know, but it is what it is.

My artist really laughed his @ss off when I told him there absolutely NEEDED to be an apostrophe. I think it makes the tattoo. Says he has never done one with punctuation before.
